A world-renowned authority in pharmaceutical technology and natural products, Prof. Bilia leads pioneering research on nano- and microcarrier formulations — liposomes, micelles, cyclodextrin complexes — that dramatically enhance the stability and oral bioavailability of plant-derived compounds. She is an expert of the European Pharmacopoeia TCM group, past President of the international GA society and the Italian Society of Phytochemistry (SIF), and Italian delegate & Vice Chair of ESCOP since 1997. Her work spans over 260 peer-reviewed publications and includes leadership of a Sino-Italian Joint Laboratory on Traditional Chinese Medicine.
