⚠️ The High Speed Rail (HSR) does not serve Yilan or Jiaoxi — HSR only runs on Taiwan's west coast. You must take Taiwan Railways (TRA) from Taipei Main Station.

Before You Travel
🏨
Going to the Hotel (Jiaoxi)
Alight at Jiaoxi Train Station (礁溪站) if taking the train, or Jiaoxi Transfer Station (礁溪轉運站) if taking bus 1915, 1916, or 1572. Kilin Hotel Jiaoxi is a short ~5 min taxi ride (NT$80–120) from either stop.

Going to the Venue (Yilan)
Alight at Yilan Train Station (宜蘭站) or Yilan Transfer Station. National Ilan University is ~15 min by taxi (NT$150–200) or take local bus 79 / 241. From the hotel in Jiaoxi, taxi to NIU takes ~20 min (NT$200–260).

Book Train Seats Early
Express seats (Puyuma, Taroko, Tze-Chiang 3000) sell out quickly around Oct 21–23. Book directly via TRA up to 28 days ahead, or via Klook up to 180 days ahead. Select Jiaoxi (礁溪) as your destination for the hotel.

Kamalan Bus accepts the Taipei EasyCard (悠遊卡) — tap on board, no ticket needed. Get one at any Taipei MRT station (NT$100 refundable deposit, load any amount).

Direct from Airport (TPE)
Bus 1661 (Ubus) runs directly from Taoyuan Airport (TPE) to Yilan and Luodong — ~2.5 to 3 hrs, NT$300. Get off at Jiaoxi Transfer Station for the hotel. No need to go into Taipei first.
